House Update!

We took a quick trip out to Boerne this weekend to check on our building site and were very excited to see the latest progress!! They're hoping to pour the slab by the end of this coming week! Yahoo!


The white pipes sticking up are for our plumbing and around the sides and back they've started to set up the slab forms.

Mickey Mouse!!

Here is Teagan in his Halloween Costume!! He was really cute!! Some little girl at the ward Trunk or Treat, kept following him around trying to talk to Mickey. It was really cute!! Here is also a picture of Teagan with his playgroup!!

Haysterical Hay Maze!!

We went to a Hay Maze last weekend!! It was a lot of Fun!! Teagan wasn't sure about all the things we wanted him to do, but he was a good sport!!
Teagan liked to pick the path we were going to choose. He was funny because when he would hit a dead end he would run back to me and say, "No, no"
Teagan thought that Daddy should have helped him a little more, since Daddy could see where the dead ends were!!

If nothing else, it was a great time for someone to run around and get some wiggles out!!

They even had a fun Train ride that Daddy and Teagan got to ride!! Teagan was really excited because it was pulled by a "tractor" and we LOVE tractors!!!

Ghostly Family Home Evening!

I decided that we didn't have enough Halloween decorations!! So we made some for Family Home Evening last night. It was really fun! Here is the finished Products!!Teagan was playing with the big green Fuzzy Ball, and dipped it perfectly in a Pink Smiley Face. You can't see it very well, But there is a face on the green fuzzy!!

If you are wondering what the white blobs are that we used as the ghost bodies are... They are Teagan's footprints. I had him step in white paint and then step onto the black paper, and we used those. Teagan has wiggly feet so some of them are a little smudged. But it was really fun!!!

A little anxious

We are all a little anxious for our little girl to join our family. (Teagan spoiled me by coming almost 3 weeks early, so I think she should be here by now!) Travis and I thought that Teagan didn't really understand what was happening with a new baby sister. Yesterday, Teagan walked up to me and laid his hand on my belly and leaned in real close and said very softly, "sister, out" He said it about 3 times, and then gave my belly a hug and walked away to play with some cars. I think he just might be ready to be a big brother!!

Some news from Teagan

Daddy and Mommy say that I am all boy! I love to run and play. But the apartment that we are living in, just isn't big enough. Mommy says that we need more room for me to run around. I get tired of running around the couch!! Mommy says she gets dizzy just watching me run in circles. So Daddy and Mommy found this fun spot for me to run around.

I'm sure you are thinking that it doesn't look like a very good place for a growing boy to run. Right now, the ground isn't very smooth, and sometimes I trip and fall, but it sure is fun to go to this spot to play!! There are fun bugs to look at, and rocks to throw!

Daddy and Mommy say that we get to live here soon. I don't know where we will live... right now there is just some trees, a dumpster, and some dirt. Maybe we will live in the neighbors garage. Mommy says that some men with cool tractors and other cool trucks will build us a house that we can live in!!

Daddy and Mommy bought this little spot so that my soon-to-be-here sister and I can have plenty of room to run around. We won't have any neighbors living down stairs from us that think I stomp too much when I run! And there aren't any stairs that I have to climb to get to the front door (Maybe one or two) but where we live right now, there's a million!!!

And in our new house, I get my own room!! I won't have to share with the baby. (She's not here yet, but I already have to share my room with all her stuff, like her crib!) Mommy and Daddy did make a few changes to the floor plan, but this is the basic layout!!
Yes, the Kulbeth Family is building a house in Boerne, Texas! (it's about 30 minutes north of San Antonio) It's a quiet area, with the elementary school about two blocks away. It's a wonderful little town with lots of neat and fun traditions. We hope they will start pouring the foundation in the next few weeks!! We will keep you posted!!!

Kulbeth Family update!!

Hello Everyone!! It's been a while since we blogged, so here is just a basic update as to what we have been up to lately!!!

Teagan had fun on his birthday!! His grandparents on the Kulbeth side, and Aunt Deanna got to come and have some cake with him.

Okay, so he didn't even eat the cake, he just ate the blue frosting on his cupcake, and then I had to explain to the pediatrician the next morning why his fingers were stained blue.

Today we had some amazing weather!! So we went to a park to play. Teagan wasn't to interested with the slides and swings, but we found this old log and had a ton of fun playing on it!!

I have the cutest boy in the whole world!!! So full of fun and giggles!!!

Yes, I'm still pregnant!! We are just waiting for our little girl to decide that she wants to join us!!! Hopefully sooner rather than later!!!

You are 2 years old today!!!

It's hard to believe that so short a time ago, you were so little!!! These have been the two best years of our lives!!!
We love you baby boy!!!!

Lessons from a 2 year old!

I am continually amazed at the lessons that I learn from my two year old!

Today, Teagan and I were playing with some homemade play dough*, and I gave him a pretty good chunk and was playing with my little piece, and I made a little bear. I set it aside and played with the rest of my dough. Teagan kept trying to grab my little bear, so I kept moving it farther away. I like to think that I am pretty creative, and I thought my bear was cool, and I didn't want Teagan to destroy him. (this play dough dries and so you can keep your creations.) Finally Teagan looked at me and said "Phhhh" (or in Teagan language "Please") and as I looked at him, I thought, why would I keep that stupid bear? Yeah, it's cool but not that cool, so I handed Teagan my little bear. He picked it up and gave it a hug, and in the process squeezed it into a little ball of blue dough.

How many times do I move something out of reach of my child, because it's too fragile, or too messy, or too... Whatever? Who cares if the pages of that neat children's book I bought get a little dirty, or maybe bent, or even torn? If my child never reads the book, what have I benefited from purchasing the book? If I don't let my child use the old box of Goodwill clothes for dress up for an afternoon, what little bits of imagination am I shutting out? And why can't I pull that picture off the wall and let him get his little fingerprints on the glass. They are so easy to clean!!! Last night when it was raining (for the first time in months) why did I grab Teagan and run to the car and get him in as fast as I could? Why couldn't I let him run with me and why couldn't we splash in every puddle that we came across? Why can't he stop and examine and pick up EVERY single rock that we pass when we go get the mail every afternoon? Why am I in such a hurry?

Just a little something that I have been pondering today, and I thought I would share it!

*The play dough was really fun, and not very messy.
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 cup of water
and some food coloring.

If you want to keep your creation, just bake it 200 Degrees for 2-3 hours or you can set it out and it will air dry. This dough is really good for making hand prints and preserving them.

You know you are a parent when...

Travis and I always joke about little things that happen in our daily lives that only happen because we are blessed enough to be parents!! I thought I would share some of them with you!

You know you are a parent when...
1. You check the disposal before turning it on. Not for stray forks and spoons, but for toy cars, and action figures!!

2. You find random pictures on your camera that you have no idea how or when they got there!!
3. You wish your "big helper" would stop helping so much!
4. It is brought to your attention that the Easter Island statues have belly buttons and your child just has to show you his!!!

5. You make shoes out of Cereal boxes (and other lame things) and think they are "So Cool!!" Mostly so your kid will wear them for 5 minutes so you don't feel like you wasted the last 30 minutes making the dang things!!!
6. When you have to move toys off of toilet seat before you can sit down.
7. Pictures like this are cute because of the mess, not in spite of!

8. Someone else eats the best part of your dinner!
9. Your desk decor is covered in sticky crumbs.
10. You don't want to clean the sticky, smudgy hand print from the sliding glass door, because it's so precious... and you know it will be right back in 5 minutes.

Edible Finger Painting!

Teagan and I wanted to do some finger painting, so we did!! I used vanilla pudding and food coloring. I used sugar free pudding, it's not as grainy as regular pudding (You can also use 1 tablespoon of light corn syrup and food coloring, but we were out of corn syrup)! It was a blast!!
Teagan had so much fun!! Mostly he just ate the pudding, and made a general mess, but when I have to clean the kitchen floor, and it's time for a bath anyways, I thought "Why not?"
Note: If I had a backyard, I would have done it there, and then just hosed off the kids and the table! But kitchen floors work well too!

"Bah Bee!!"

Teagan is officially a Big Boy!!! He was moved to his new Big Boy Bed this week!! We are doing great!! We take all our naps in the big boy bed, and of the the 5 nights that we have had the big boy bed, we have slept in it for 3 of the nights! He loves his new Cars Sheets!!

Three Years and Counting!

Yesterday Travis and I celebrated our third year wedding anniversary!!
It's hard to believe that so much time has past, yet I can't hardly remember a time without him! I am so grateful for you Travis! What a wonderful husband, father, and friend you are! I am so grateful that we are sealed together forever!! I can't imagine my life without you!

It's been a busy three years for us!
Our precious Teagan has joined our family,
Travis is finally done with School,
Travis has a wonderful job, and we are living in Texas,
(Somewhere we didn't plan on three years ago)
We have another precious baby girl who will be joining us soon.
I couldn't ask for anything more!

And do you know what?
I have a feeling that "The best is yet to come!"
I love you honey!!

Photo Shoot!

Some of my cousins are very successful in doing home family photo shoots. So I thought we would give it a try! We weren't as successful as I hoped we would be, but we were more successful than I feared we might be. Here's some of the pictures!

Day at the Zoo

Teagan and I were invited to join a playgroup that was going to the zoo! We had so much fun! We got to see all the fun monkeys, and the elephants, and rhinos, and jaguars, and hippos and all these other really fun animals! Teagan had a blast! It was about 98 Degrees at 9:00 in the morning, and the humidity was extremely high. I haven't been so hot in a long time (Teagan and I usually avoid the hot days by indoor activities) Here are some pictures that I took. The other little kids in the picture are from our play group. The zoo had a fun petting zoo with goats for the kids.


Okay, okay, so when it's freaking hot outside, I don't think to take pictures!! I'll do better next time!! But we had a lot of fun!

Visit to Grandma and Granddad's House!

We had a wonderful 4th of July!! We went to Nowata Oklahoma to visit with Travis's Grandma and Granddad. They have a nice little farm, and we had a lot of fun on our visit! Teagan had so much fun watching Granddad drive the tractor around. (We LOVE tractors!) Here are some pictures that we took!

Here is Travis and Teagan playing with Max the dog! Teagan loved and was terrified of this little dog! He would chase him around the yard, and then run away when Max was ready to get some attention!

Teagan got to play in Grandma's wagon! Daddy got to pull him around!!

In a town called Bartlesville, close by, there is a little kid theme park that is run by volunteers, and each ride only cost 25 cents. It was a blast!! Here are some of the rides that Teagan got to ride.

Teagan, Daddy and Grandma on the Train (Grandma is one seat behind!) If there is anything that Teagan loves more than Tractors, it's trains, so we had to ride the train a couple of time!

The boat was also a big success!

This car was also one of our favorites as well!We got to go to a cool animal/land preserve called Woolaroc. It was founded by the Phillips Oil company. They had a fun museum with airplanes, and cars, and stuffed animals, and cool old stuff. They had fun animals that you could look at from the car, and then they had a fun petting zoo!

There was a fun little play area, with a little town. Of course we had to follow MacCabe tradition and take a picture in front of the post office for Grandpa MacCabe!

We went to see the fireworks! We were sitting right behind home plate at a little town baseball field. They set off the fireworks in the outfield. So we were close! It was really fun and Teagan had a blast!! He loved the fireworks!
