Heidi's Room

We have been working on unpacking and setting up house. This weekend we finished Heidi's room! I am debating on refinishing the dresser in her room...

So the kid's rooms are done (unless I paint that dresser... White?) That just leaves, oh. a few rooms to finish (or in most cases, start and finish) organizing and decorating... my room, the bathroom, the guest bedroom, the down bathroom, the toy room... I guess I have my work cut out for me!

Painting tip: My wonderful Sister gave me this tip and it worked like a charm!! When you are painting on a wall that has texture, spread a really thin line of caulking along the tape and the paint will not bleed under the tape!

Teagan's favorite Comments

Teagan is so much fun right now!! He has a few phrases that he says all day long!

Phrase #1 "Tat's Bedder" (that's better) He says this for every change that is made in his life. If he moves a car to a different spot in the room, he says 'tat's bedder'.

Phrase #2 "Oh NO!" This is said all the time, mostly for no reason at all, but that it's fun to say. I have to admit that he says this with such gusto!

Phrase #3 "Whaz tat?" (What's that) Sometimes he says this about every 5 seconds, and it's then, I understand why some animals eat their young.

And my favorite phrase, because it's always said with the greatest sigh of exasperation is... "Mommy, Heidi cry!"

So I put Teagan down for his nap today, and here's how it went.
Me: Time to go to sleep honey, Night-Night.
Teagan: Oh No!
Me: what honey?
Teagan: Fan on
Me: Okay, I'll turn the fan on
Teagan: Tat's bedder
Me: Okay, go to sleep now.
Teagan: Mommy, whaz tat?
Me: it's just the yarn on your blanket. (he asks this everytime he goes to bed, and you'd think he'd figure it out!)
(Me walking out the door)
Teagan leaps out of bed and says: Mommy...
Me: yes Teagan?
Teagan: Heidi cry!
Me: I know, go to sleep!

Here was our conversation at Breakfast:
Teagan: whaz that?
Me: Cheerios, you eat them every day.
Teagan: Oh no!
Me: What's the matter?
Teagan: Milk?
(I pour milk on his Cheerios)
Teagan: Tat's Bedder. Mommy... Heidi Cry, Get Heidi!

Life is fun with a 2 year old!

We are Home!!

We moved into our new house, finally!!! We are so excited!! Here are a few pictures of our house, (most of it is still buried in boxes, so I'm only showing a few rooms)

So this is the living room. We painted the wall a pretty green color. But now I'm a little lost on what to do for window coverings. So please offer some advice to a curtain color/style or anything that might work. Thanks
(Also, did you notice the HUGE pile of "Still-to-hang" pictures in the bottom left corner of the picture?) We still aren't really moved in yet!!
So here is the dining room and kitchen. Teagan is enjoying an afternoon snack of raisins and animal crackers. I have to admit that I LOVE my kitchen!!
Here is my pantry!! I LOVE this as well!!! It is wonderful to have somewhere to put your food!! (Our last apartments were lacking a little in the pantry department!)

This is the play room (loft) it's really a great area!! Travis is going to build me some shelves to store the toys, (Sorry it's messy!! We were having fun in there before) And we are going to paint this room a fun color!!! (I'll post more pictures once it's painted and the shelves are in!)


And the Coolest Room in the House is...

Teagan's RoomWe got these tents from some friends of ours, and they are so much fun!! There are little tunnels connecting them together, and the end tent has a ton of those little plastic balls in it, and Teagan has filled the other end with pillows and blankets. (Yes, I have caught him playing when he should be in bed sleeping, I can't really blame him because I was sneaking in his room to play in the tent while he was sleeping...)

And here is the other side of his room. If you couldn't tell, We LOVE Lightning McQueen!!!

There are more rooms to our house, just in case you were wondering. but right now they all still have boxes, or I just haven't cleaned them in the past few days, and need straightening before I can bear to show them to the public! So I will post more when we are a little more settled!!!
