Teagan Update

Teagan: I am now 9 months old and life is great! Mommy and Daddy are letting me try lots of new foods! We went to a buffet restaurant a few days ago, and I tried everything from raisins and tomatoes, to lasagna, potatoes, raspberries, green jello, and lots of other stuff! My latest favorite thing in the whole world, though, is soft serve vanilla ice cream! (When we said that...Teagan gave us a loud "Mmmmm!!"). Man, those brain freezes are hard to get used to. Daddy said something about eating ice cream in moderation...but I haven't quite figured out what that means yet! I now have two teeth on the bottom that I like to bite mommy's fingers with when she tries to pull stuff out of my mouth (Hey, that little fuzzy thing on the floor sure didn't seem too bad for eatin'! I don't know why mommy makes such a big deal out of it!). I'm crawling and half-walking all around the house now and am getting into all kinds of stuff! It's fun because I get to follow Mommy and Daddy everywhere (or crawl away to where they can't see me get into things! :).

I had my 9 month checkup with my pediatricion yesterday. I am "Tall and Skinny" I am 29 inches long, and I weigh 19.22 lbs. So for length, I am in the 73.95% of boys my age, and I'm in the 27.25% for weight. But Mom says I am too heavy and need to start carrying her. Everything went well at my check up, I got another shot and they checked my blood. I got two cool army band-aids.

Mommy and Daddy are looking for a new nanny for me. They've interviewed tons of girls, but so far, no luck. Right now one of Dad's cousins is watching me. I like to play with my toy football and my stuffed dog and bear. They are lots of fun to sit and poke at and shake and talk to. Mommy and I love dancing around the living room and spinning circles. And at night, my favorite thing to do with Daddy is to go outside and sit in the grass, and we have fun pulling it all out. (I can't figure out why we keep sitting in a different spot in the yard every time...). Dirt sure has a nice flavor too...and while Mommy doesn't like it, she still says it'll just put hair on my chest...someday. But I'm a big help in the garden getting rid of dirt clods!!

I'm a big boy and sleep in my big boy crib, and I flirt with all the women at church (married or not) every Sunday. Can't help my good looks! I love to give mommy and daddy hugs and kisses. Anyway, yeah, life is good!!
